Can you add recessed lights to an existing ceiling?

Usually, yes. We use remodel housings and fish wire through the ceiling with small openings. See recessed lighting.

Is switching to LED worth it?

LED uses far less power, runs cooler and lasts much longer than fluorescent or incandescent. Our LED retrofit page explains the options.

Do outdoor lights need special wiring?

Yes. Outdoor circuits need GFCI protection, weatherproof boxes and wire rated for the location.

Can I put lights on a dimmer?

Most can, as long as the bulb and dimmer match. We help pick dimmers that won't flicker or buzz.

Can you replace an old light fixture?

Yes. We swap worn or dated fixtures, check the box and wiring behind them, and mount the new one solid. See light fixture replacement.
