Kitchen and Bath Code, Permits and Your Panel

Kitchen circuits. Code calls for at least two 20 amp small appliance circuits for the counter outlets, and big appliances usually get their own circuit. Counter outlets need GFCI protection under NEC 210.8.

Bathrooms. Bathroom outlets need GFCI protection and a 20 amp circuit.

Induction ranges. Most induction ranges need a dedicated 240 volt circuit, often 40 or 50 amps. We check that your service and panel can carry it.

Permits. We pull the permit through the City of Pittsburgh or your borough or township and meet the inspector, so the work is on record.
